Renovation is underway at this historic property in LeDroit Park. We’re converting the townhouse into two condominiums, each with two levels and two to three bathrooms.
The single-family home was originally built in 1873. As it stands, the property needs a lot of work. Check out the condition of these two bathrooms.
In the basement, our team is underpinning to add height. Parts of the dirt floor are dug out in sections and concrete with metal support beams (rebarb) is added. Here’s an up-close view of the process:
We really like the look of this metal railing in the attic. It’s one of the historic elements that will stay.
In our next update, we’ll show you the framing. Stay tuned!
